This guide walks you through installing Rhylthyme for iOS and loading your first program.

Install from the App Store

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Search for Rhylthyme
  3. Tap Get to download and install

Tip

Rhylthyme requires iOS 17.0 or later. If you don't see the app in search results, check that your device is running a supported version under Settings > General > About.

First Launch

When you open Rhylthyme for the first time, you land on the Home tab. No account is required to browse examples, load programs, or use the visualization.

Load an Example Program

The fastest way to see Rhylthyme in action:

  1. Scroll to the Examples section on the Home tab
  2. Tap any example -- for instance, Breakfast Schedule
  3. The app switches to the Visualization tab and loads the program

The Visualization tab appears in the tab bar only after a program is loaded.

Start Playback

Once a program is loaded in the Visualization tab:

  1. Tap the Play button in the native playback controls at the bottom
  2. Watch steps execute in real time on the timeline
  3. Use the speed picker to accelerate playback (1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 30x, or 60x)
  4. Tap Pause to freeze execution, or Stop to reset

Optional: Sign In

Signing in is optional but enables saving and sharing programs. Rhylthyme supports three sign-in methods:

  • Google -- Tap "Continue with Google"
  • Apple -- Tap "Continue with Apple"
  • Email -- Enter your email to receive a magic link (no password needed)
