Community Guidelines

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Rhylthyme is for planning and running real work: meals, lab protocols, events and workouts. Anything other people can see — public programs, shared timelines, profiles (names, pictures, bios), and the photos and videos attached to steps — has to follow these guidelines. They are part of our Terms of Service.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We remove content that breaks these guidelines, and we suspend or remove the accounts of the people who post it.

What isn't allowed

Spam or misleading content

  • Advertising, promotions, referral links or repeated posts that have nothing to do with the program.
  • Programs, titles, descriptions or pictures that pretend to be something they are not, or that link to scams, phishing or malware.
  • Impersonating another person, brand or organization, including Rhylthyme.

Harassment or bullying

  • Insulting, threatening, shaming or intimidating someone, or encouraging others to do so.
  • Posting someone's private information (address, phone number, private photos) without their consent.
  • Using a new account, a share link or anything else to get around someone's block.

Hate speech or symbols

  • Attacking or demeaning people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, disease, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status.
  • Hate symbols, slurs, and content that praises or supports hate groups or violent extremists.

Sexual or nude content

  • Nudity, pornography and sexually explicit material, in pictures, videos or text.
  • Any sexual content involving minors. We report it to the authorities.

Violence or dangerous acts

  • Threats of violence, and graphic violence or gore.
  • Instructions or encouragement for acts likely to cause serious injury, such as dangerous challenges, weapons, or making explosives or poisons.
  • Lab protocols are welcome; protocols whose purpose is to hurt people are not.

Self-harm

  • Content that promotes, encourages or gives instructions for suicide, self-injury or eating disorders.
  • If you or someone you know is in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.

Illegal activity

  • Selling or arranging the sale of illegal drugs, weapons or other regulated goods.
  • Instructions for making illegal drugs, and content that helps someone commit a crime or fraud.
  • Anything else that is illegal where you live or in the United States.
  • Posting someone else's creative work — photographs, videos, headnotes and other recipe prose, cookbook text — without permission.
  • Using someone else's trademark or logo in a way that suggests they made or endorse your content.
  • Ingredient lists and procedural steps are facts and are fine to share; see Recipes and Procedural Content.

Something else

Anything else that makes Rhylthyme unsafe or unpleasant for the people using it. If you are not sure whether something breaks these guidelines, report it and we will look.

Reporting content

Anyone can report content, with or without an account. The person you report is not told who reported them.

  • On the website and in the Mac app: open the program, shared timeline or profile and choose Report (the flag button). Choose the reason that fits best, add details if you like, and submit. A link to a program with ?report=1 at the end opens the report form directly.
  • In the iOS app: open the program, tap the … menu next to the cover photo, and choose Report….
  • By email: write to support@rhylthyme.com with a link to the content and what is wrong with it.

Blocking users

When you are signed in you can block another user:

  • On the website and in the Mac app: from their profile (Block), or by ticking Also block when you report their content.
  • In the iOS app: from the … menu on their program, choose Block.

After you block someone, you no longer see their programs, shared timelines or profile anywhere on Rhylthyme, any follows between you are removed, and neither of you can follow the other. They are not notified. To unblock someone, go to Blocked Users (on the website, under Edit profile; in the iOS app, in Settings).

Rhylthyme's own recipe and template catalog cannot be blocked; if something in it is wrong, report it instead.

Enforcement

  • We review every report within 24 hours.
  • Content that breaks these guidelines is taken down so that no one else can see it. Depending on how serious it is, we also suspend the account that posted it, which hides all of that user's public content, or remove the account from Rhylthyme permanently.
  • Users who abuse other users, or who keep posting objectionable content, are removed from the Service.
  • Photos and videos are also screened automatically when they are uploaded (see Content Moderation).
  • Where the law requires it, or a person is in danger, we report content to the authorities.

If you think we removed your content or suspended your account by mistake, write to support@rhylthyme.com.
